I used to wake up each morning, grab a cup of coffee and look out my kitchen window. However, my first home purchase interfered with this routine. It went more like this…
I would shuffle into the kitchen, pour my stimulating cup of jo, look out the window, and wave at my neighbor.

Our homes were so close together that I enjoyed my coffee each morning greeting my neighbor through the window.
When it came time to purchase a new home, I decided to do a little research and find neighborhoods with generous sized lots. Here are three of my favorites.
BLUFFVIEW ESTATES
Located inside 1604 and just minutes from the airport, this established neighborhood offers mature trees, unique homes and extra roomy home lots. Homes also offer plenty of elbow room with a minimum 3,000 square foot. Residence enjoy tennis courts, playground and a volleyball court. Bluffview Estates is in the North East ISD with Harmony Hills Elementary, Eisenhower Middle school and Churchill High school. Plenty of restaurants, shopping and entertainment are just minutes away, including North Star Mall and Silverhorn Golf Course.

EVANS RANCH
Located just North of Loop 1604 off of Evans Rd., this small gated neighborhood features large, half acre and one acre lots. Evans Ranch has homes ranging in size from 3200-5000 square feet. Within the confines of it’s gates, there are 140 home sites nestled in the rugged hillside of this North San Antonio enclave. Evans Ranch is located in the award winning NEISD. It feeds into Johnson High School, Tejeda Middle School and Roan Forest Elementary School. The neighborhood features a convenient walk through gate to Roan Forest Elementary School.
Evans Ranch is also conveniently located just 2 miles from the world class J.W. Marriott Hill Country Resort and TPC Golf Course, home of the Valero Texas Open golf tournament.

SONOMA RANCH
Big Lots and great views are not the only benefits of this hill country neighborhood. Variety is the theme in this activity rich community!
The residents at Sonoma Ranch enjoy fantastic amenities including control access, pool, tennis courts, playground and sports court. Located just northwest of 1604 and IH 10, it’s just four miles to the Shops at LaCantera, Fiesta Texas, and numerous parks and golf courses. Homes in Sonoma Rach range in size from 1720 square feet up to 6667 square feet, and many have large spacious lots (up to 4 acres) and mature trees. Serviced by Northside ISD with Beard elementary, Hector Garcia Middle School, and Louis D Brandie High School.
